Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku fined £7000
The strikers were involved in a brawl during the Coppa Italia quarter-final, which Inter won 2-1 after Ibrahimovic was sent off.
Ibrahimovic was fined 4,000 euros (£3,477), Lukaku 3,000 euros (£2,608), AC Milan 2,000 euros (£1,738), and Inter 1,250 euros (£1,086), according to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
During the game, the former Manchester United stars traded insults, and Lukaku had to be stopped by his teammates at the end of the first half after being enraged by Ibrahimovic’s remarks.
During the exchange, Lukaku appeared to call Ibrahimovic a’son of a b****’ and shouted ‘f*** your mom,’ while Ibrahimovic reportedly said ‘Go do your voodoo s***, you little donkey.’
Both players were disciplined for unsportsmanlike behavior involving provocative language, while the clubs were penalized for their responsibility for their players’ actions. In January, Lukaku and Ibrahimovic were both given one-match suspensions.
