UFC fighter, Irwin Rivera has been arrested for alleged murder of his sisters.
UFC fighter Irwin Rivera was arrested on two counts of first-degree premeditated murder on Thursday, Jan 7.
Reporter Eric Kowal of the MMA first posted on Rivera’s detention. He also claimed that because he supposedly stabbed his sisters, Rivera was taken into custody.
At 12:08 p.m., Rivera was booked into prison. On Thursday, according to public arrest reports from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, at the Local Detention Facility in West Palm Beach.

For Rivera, no bond has been set yet. In Florida, first-degree premeditated murder offences carry a possible death penalty or life in jail.
MMAFighting.com reports they made several requests to the public relations officer of the office for comment, but they went unreturned, and a dispatch officer said he was unable to offer more information about the situation. Also, Rivera’s manager Ali Abdelaziz didn’t respond to a request for comment, according to the website.
The UFC has released a statement about the incident with Rivera. A UFC official verified that pending as investigation commences, Rivera’s career will be paused.
