Real Madrid ‘preparing a £292m package to sign both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe’
The Spanish club, who have long admired the players, is keen to sign a contract with them ahead of the 2022-2023 season. They’re working on a package that will include transfer costs, salary, and agency commissions for each player.
Real Madrid, according to Marca, is attempting to reach an agreement with Haaland and Mbappe as soon as possible due to the high level of interest in their services.
Since joining Dortmund in January from RB Salzburg in 2020, Haaland has scored an incredible 78 goals in 77 appearances in all competitions.
With Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Manchester City all associated with the Dortmund striker in the last 18 months, he has become one of Europe’s hottest footballers.
Haaland said on Friday that he will make a choice on his future soon.
‘They have started to put a lot of pressure on me, and I have to accept it,’ Haaland said. I have opted to remain silent out of respect for the club and its supporters.
‘However, now that the club is putting a lot of pressure on us, it’s time to get things going.’ It denotes that something is about to happen right now.
‘I’ve always maintained that I want to concentrate on football since that’s when I’m at my best.’ Not when other thoughts enter my head.
‘Not now, because we’re in the thick of a difficult period with a lot of games,’ the Norwegian said when asked when he anticipated to make a decision. My only desire is to play football, but I am unable to do it at this time.’
Mbappe, meanwhile, has been linked with a transfer away from Paris Saint-Germain, since his contract with the club expires this summer.
Last summer, reports stated he was lobbying for a move, but PSG is adamant on keeping him and are alleged to have rejected down a £134 million approach from Real Madrid.
With his contract expiring at the end of June, the Ligue 1 side valued the France World Cup champion at closer to £175 million, preventing Los Blancos from making another approach.
