Rafael Nadal and Naomi Osaka win Laureus World Sports man/woman of the year
Rafael Nadal, the reigning Tennis men’s world number one, and Naomi Osaka, the reigning Tennis women’s world number one, have been elected sportsman and sportswoman of the year at the Laureus World Sports Awards, which were held digitally on Thursday evening, May 6.
Nadal earned the award for matching Roger Federer’s record of 20 Grand Slams, while Naomi Osaka, a Japanese tennis player and activist, took the top spot in women’s tennis.
