Despite fears about her health, Queen Elizabeth will not abdicate her position as monarch, since she was recently photographed using a walking stick for the first time in 20 years.

Royal commentator Dickie Arbiter claimed on GMB that the Queen will continue to perform her duties despite her decision to cancel her trip to Northern Ireland.

“When she told the ‘Oldie awards’ to naff off, the Queen made her sentiments very clear,” he remarked.

“Remembrance Day is approaching, and it holds a special place in her diary. To say she’ll take a step back is patronizing and putting out fires; instead, the Queen will ask her officials to better schedule her engagements.

“The Queen’s declaration that you are “as old as you feel” is also a nudge to let us all know she is not going to stand down as Monarch,” royal expert Angela Levin stated in response to her decision.

Leslie Caron, a 90-year-old French-American actress, dancer, and playwright, received the main Oldie of the Year award, according to royal correspondent Richard Palmer.

In April 2021, the Queen will celebrate her 95th birthday. Her husband, Prince Philip, died in April, just days before the Queen’s birthday, at the age of 99.
