Phil Neville has been appointed head coach of David Beckham’s Inter Miami in United States. As the next head coach of David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami on a two-year contract, Phil Neville has been reported.
Neville, 43, left his role as England Women head coach before the announcement, having previously announced he would leave in the summer before Sarina Wiegman takes over.
Neville said: ‘I am incredibly happy for this chance to coach Inter Miami and to work with Chris and the whole ownership group.
‘This is a very young club with a lot of hope and potential, and I am dedicated to continuing to develop and create a competitive soccer community that we will all be proud of for myself, my players, and everyone around me.’
Phill went on saying the fantastic soccer-loving market needs consistent performances and a winning morale, while he looks forward to getting to start work
Beckham reminisces his old days since both he and Phil were both teenagers at the Manchester United Academy.
Having been taught by some of the best leaders in the game, we share a football DNA, and it’s those principles that I have wanted to run through our club.
‘Phil has deep football experience, both as a player and as a mentor at the club and international level, and he has worked with many of the best coaches and players in the game throughout his career.
‘I know his qualities as a person, his decency, loyalty and honesty – and his incredible energy and work ethic. Anyone who might have played or worked with Phil will know he’s a natural leader, and I believe the time is now for him to be part.’
