Paramount Celebrates New Star Cardi B
Paramount has celebrated their latest film, Assisted Living, which is to be Cardi B’s first appearance, giving an appropriate “WAP” reference surprisingly.
Paramount studio has just announced that Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, popularly known as Cardi B, is taking her first leading role in the movie with Assisted Living.
The rapper is playing the role of Amber, a small-time outlaw who is hiding from the law and her former gang.
After a robbery operation went wrong, Amber tried to disguise herself as an old woman and seek hiding in the nursing home of her grandma whom she had lost touch with.
Paramount announced this news on Twitter, in celebration of their star with a cheeky reference to her new hit.
The track titled “WAP” has turned to a meme format in its own right, with social media users cracking jokes saying the initials stand for less degusting words.
Continuing in this trend, Paramount tweeted in turning the initials to Working At Paramount

While Assisted Living will be Cardi’s 1st leading role, it won’t be her first movie performance in the industry.
The Grammy Award winner had, in the past, a well-accepted brief appearance in Lorene Scafaria’s Hustlers and will feature in the forthcoming 9th release of the Fast & Furious franchise.
She’s also not new to unscripted television, she featured in Netflix’s competition show, “Hustle & Flow” and her series Cardi Tries for Facebook Watch. Cardi B initially rose to spotlight on the reality series Love & Hip Hop.
