Messi is an emotionless alien I prefer Ronaldo says Di Canio
Paulo Di Canio, a former player, has compared Lionel Messi to a “emotionless alien,” while ranking Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of him.
The 53-year-old West Ham veteran was thrilled by Ronaldo’s hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur in response to Ralf Rangnick’s decision to leave him out of the Manchester derby.
While Messi was booed by his own fans for the first time in his career on Sunday against Bordeaux, he did not respond, perplexing Di Canio.
“Messi left the pitch scratching his head, he has no feelings,” he stated on Sky Italia.
“Do you want me to sit on the bench against Man City because I prefer Cristiano Ronaldo?”
“I go back to Portugal and score a hat-trick when I get back.” I’d rather have a human with a soul than an alien with no feelings.”
“Messi shown his personality boundaries,” he continued.
“Of course he can be booed,” says the narrator. Thousands of admirers had gathered to greet him. They were dreaming, but his actions were not appropriate.”
Some Paris Saint-Germain supporters also defaced the club’s training area with graffiti demanding Lionel Messi’s departure.
Many fans anticipated the Argentine to assist with the delivery of the Champions League trophy to Paris, but PSG suffered an early European departure after losing to Real Madrid in the last 16 last week.
