Meghan Markle made formal complaint to ITV about Piers Morgans Comments.
Meghan Markle made a formal complaint to British broadcaster ITV about the comments Piers Morgan made about her mental health on Good Morning Britain.
When hosting Good Morning Britain on Monday, March 8, Piers Morgan asked whether the Duchess of Sussex was telling the truth about having suicidal thoughts. His remarks caused widespread outrage in the United Kingdom, and he was chastised by mental health charity Mind.
According to CNN, the Duchess of Sussex complained to ITV about Morgan’s remarks and how they could diminish the severity of mental health problems. The complaint has nothing to do with Morgan’s assaults being personal.
After casting doubt about whether Meghan had suicidal feelings, ITV revealed on Tuesday, March 9, that Piers Morgan would quit the show he hosted, “Good Morning Britain.”
“Following consultations with ITV, Piers Morgan has agreed that now is the right time to depart from Good Morning Britain,” ITV announced on Tuesday. “ITV accepts this decision and has no further comment.”
In addition, the UK media authority, Ofcom, announced that it had received over 41,000 complaints about Monday’s episode of “Good Morning Britain,” and that it had opened an inquiry under its “damage and offence regulations.”
Morgan said on March 10 that he “really” does not trust Meghan after leaving his role as a host on GMB.
“I’ve had time to consider this viewpoint, and I really don’t agree with it. If you did, that’s fine. I’m willing to die for freedom of expression. Thank you for your support, both positive and negative. I’m going to spend some more time thinking about my ideas “He sent out a tweet.
