Manchester City offer Tottenham ‘100million’ for Harry Kane
Manchester City is said to have offered Tottenham £100 million for England striker Harry Kane.
Kane has been linked with the Premier League winners this summer after expressing his desire to leave north London in pursuit of silverware.
According to Sports Mail, City began their campaign with a price of at least £100 million, but Spurs are unable to accept that amount.
According to the source, City are willing to offer players and cash in exchange for the 27-year-old attacker, but Spurs will turn down their offers.
Spurs have set a £150 million price tag on Kane and are desperate to maintain hold of him.
City are looking for a long-term replacement for Sergio Aguero, who left the Etihad on a free transfer to join Barcelona.
Kane informed Tottenham of his wish to go after a terrible season that saw them miss out on European football and tumble out of the Europa League in embarrassing fashion, according to Sportsmail.
Spurs were informed of Kane’s desire to leave before the end of last season, and speculation about his future has continued.
Kane had an open conversation with former coach Gary Neville a few weeks later, in which he stated that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy may be willing to trade him for £100 million.
‘He’s never just held me to a contract and said, ‘OK, I’ll do it.’ “No, I’ve already paid you. You’re going to stick to it “..
‘To be honest, I’m not sure how that conversation will go.’ He could want to sell me, after all. “Why not?”
‘For the next two or three years, I’m not going to be worth that.’ In my career, I believe I am approaching a fork in the road. I feel that is something that should be discussed with the club. As I’ve already stated, I would never say that I will stay with Spurs for the rest of my career. I’d never say I’d quit Tottenham.’
The striker is preparing for England’s final Group D match against the Czech Republic on Tuesday, June 22, despite a poor start to the tournament.
