Man throws coins into aircraft engine in expectation of Good Luck
Sometimes, one would wonder how possibly one goes to a certain length to think the unthinkable.
Here come a man flying for his first time. Out of excessive desire for “good luck“, he threw coins into the the plane engine. This single act compelled the airline to cancel the flight in China’s Shandong province.
According to information gathered, the scene happened at an airport in Weifang.
Wang, a male passenger who was scheduled on a flight from Weifang to Haiku on a Beibu Gulf Airlines flight, GX8814, intentionally threw a handful of coins into one of the aircraft propellers with the expectation of bringing him good luck.
Luckily, the employee of the airline was quickly alerted about the coins found in the engine with some on the ground during the pre-takeoff inspection.
Wang, reportedly, accepted having thrown 6 coins which was wrapped in red paper inside the aircraft’s engine.
The employee managed to take out all the coins, however, company has to be the flight as a result of safety concerns, Times Now News reported.
All 148 passengers were compelled to “deboard” and wait for another flight till the next morning.
After the incident, Wang was handed over to the police.
