Identical twins who Had Been Apart from Birth Reunite after 36 years
This is a sweet moment after twin sisters, who had no glimpse of idea that the other existed, finally came together on their 36th birthday.
The two sisters, Molly Sinert and Emily Bushnell, have been separated at birth in South Korea and were adopted by two different families.
The two sister have spent most of their lives being absolutely unaware that the other existed and to make the matter worse, they were privy with very little information about their birth family.
After 36 years, the two identical twins were able to find each other, making it possible by DNA tests. Now they have finally met face-to-face in their first time.
Both Molly Sinert and Emily Bushnell were adopted by Jewish families in United States, they were just some months old.
Molly’s family lived in Florida, while Emily’s family came from Pennsylvania.
The twins were reunited following Emily’s 11-year-old daughter’s, Isabel, quest to research more about her mom’s family.
She told Good Morning America in an interview: “I planned to do DNA test as she was actually adopted.
“I wanted to know if I had more family on her side.”
On the other hand across the United States, Molly also had a plan to take a DNA test to find out more about her historical background.
Molly said: “I clicked on the close relative and I did not understand what it was.
“[The results showed:] ‘You share 49.96 percent DNA with this person. We predict she is your daughter’.
“This is definitely wrong as I have never birthed a child before.”
It actually didn’t take that long for Molly to know the results were linking to her twin’s daughter.
The sisters were able to establish a connection and chat from distance, shared photos, however, decided no video call till they met in person.
While Emily was reluctant taking the test then, she said finding out she’s a twin “immediately filled the vacuum in her heart”.
She went on saying: “Though I have family who really love me and have been so wonderful, I was always having this feeling of disconnection.
“Seeing that I have a twin sister whom we are identical has just made things very clear.”
As the sister were getting to know each other more, they learnt they are very similar in so many ways. Both have cats and wore almost the same dresses, necklaces and hairstyles.
Emily said: “Our senior prom photo… we both were putting on a beaded dress, strapless, with our hairstyle was absolutely the same.
“I am sure that there are still many more twin moments we’ll discover.”
