Floyd Mayweather meets Rotimi Amaechi as he visits Nigeria
Floyd Mayweather came to Nigeria to promote his exhibition fight in Dubai against Don Moore.
On Sunday, May 8, the former multi-weight champion spoke at a news conference in Abuja.
On Monday, May 9, Mayweather paid a visit to Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s minister of transportation, at his Abuja house.
The 45-year-old boxing promoter said he had hoped to visit Nigeria for a long time, but “things did not go as planned.”
He also stated that he intends to create “a boxing camp” in Nigeria to boost the sport’s development.
He also stated that he will return to the nation “to train and continue to create my legacy” in the future.
He stated, ” “I couldn’t think of a finer destination to visit before going to Dubai than Nigeria. I’m excited to return to Nigeria to train and continue my legacy, and we’d like to help construct a boxing camp for the next generation of young people and children.
