Elvis Presley electric guitar sells for £450k at auction.
Elvis Presley‘s electric guitar, which he used to kick off his legendary return, was auctioned off for £450,000 on Tuesday.
The lipstick red Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, which had not been used in public for 52 years, was sold by GWS Auctions in the United States.
The ‘King’ fell in love with the guitar, which he borrowed for a TV concert from his session guitarist Al Casey at the time.
In December 1968, Elvis’ appearance with the guitar was televised on television, marking the star’s return to acting following a seven-year hiatus.
