
Dr Frabz, a veteran music producer in the early days of Nigerian hip-hop, is dead.
Dr Frabz, Ayodele Faboro, who had produced many hit songs for many prominent artistes, was reportedly shot dead in United States on Saturday. Detail on the reasons he was shot is still unclear.
Celebrities have taken up to social media expressing their condolences. Samklef, a co-producer, stated how they exchange greetings weeks before, only to find out he’s dead weeks later.

He hailed from Ekiti state, started his music journey at 6 when he started playing the piano. He made music a career in 2006 with the moniker Dr Frabs which meant Doctor of Flavour, R&B. He went on to create N’sayne Entertainment after which worked with many music stars such as Dagrin, Naeto C, Wizkid, Davido, Shank, Omawumi etc. producing hit songs like Dagrin’s “Thank God”, WizKid’s “Bombay”, and “Joy”, Banky W’s “Lagos Party”, ‘Slow Slow’ by Chuddy K , ‘Too late’ by Shank’s to mention few

Dokta Frabz produced "Lagos Party". That song changed my life. It brought so much joy to people over the years and encapsulated what celebrating in Lagos feels like. He's gone but his legacy lives on. May God rest his soul and strengthen his family's.
